Juliet Wilson-Bareau and Malcom Park, Devision and Revision: Manet's 'Reichshoffen' Revealed

Edited by Mariantonia Reinhard-Felice, Oskar Reinhart Collection ʻAm Römerholz ̓, for the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, Paul Holberton Publishing, London, 2008, ISBN 978-1-903470-77-0
Revised and expanded edition of the German publication Manet trifft Manet: Geteilt, wiedervereint, Schwabe Verlag, Basle, 2005,
ISBN 978-3-7965-2202-4

This publication accompanied the first ever ‘dossier' exhibition at the Oskar Reinhart Collection ‘Am Römerholz'. The exhibition brought together - for the first time since their making - Edouard Manet's Au café, from our own collection, and his Coin de café-concert, owned by the National Gallery in London. Originally these two paintings were part of the same canvas, which Manet entitled ‘Reichshoffen'.
