Symposium 2015

Unknown aspects of a great collector

A colloquium in memory of Oskar Reinhart

‘Glänzende EigenArt'

A day marking the 50th anniversary of the death of collector Oskar Reinhart

Friday, 11 September 2015

The colloquium in the Oskar Reinhart Collection ‘Am Römerholz' examined various aspects of Reinhart's activity as a collector. The contributions aimed to supplement the symposium held in the museum on 7 and 8 September 2012. That symposium, its proceedings now published in German in book form, focused on the international context from which Reinhart's ideas about art grew, whereas the 2015 colloquium, also conducted in German, addressed facets of his collecting that relate more closely to his personal origins and reveal a notably individual approach to art.
