The entrance to the museum shop as well as the restaurant "Drehorgel" is located above the reception area. The path through the reception area guides the visitor to the permanent and special exhibitions. The reception area includes two fair organs and, since the fall of 2008, a Mortier Dance Organ. All of these organs alternate on the half hour. A number of museum events take place in the ambience of the reception area, which may also be rented for private events.
